About Us

The Department of Science and Humanities was established in the academic year 1983-1984. Our department has been running successfully as a hub on this college campus for the past 43 years. It comprises of disciplines like Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry which mainly focuses on core Scientific principles, Communication Skills and ethical values necessary for technical education. Our department provides the foundational academic base for Engineering diploma students and supports students across all Engineering disciplines. The total intake of students was increased from 360 to 528 in the year 2012 (Civil - 96; Mechanical - 144; EEE - 144; ECE - 48; Computer Engineering - 48; Information Technology - 48).

• Our faculties are continuously upgrading themselves and enriching their knowledge by attending various faculty development programmes including UHV phase I and II.
• A strong focus on encouraging students to participate in Co-curricular and extra curricular activities for the welfare of students.
